“THE SEVEN HILLS OF ROME” (1998)

“DIE SIEBEN HÜGEL ROM’S”

Saint Augustine finds himself alone on top of a hill. Six snipers are aiming at him with high-accuracy rifles. They don’t fire because Saint Augustine won’t keep still. Two young women are enlisted to seduce him and hence give the snipers a chance to fire. The saint’s thoughts lead us to a reflection on the spiritual decadence of a civilization, which could as much be that of the 4th Century A.D. as our own.

A shortfilm by Carlos Atanes (1998)
With: Manolo F. García, Ariadna Planas and Saskia Lange.
Music by Xavier Tort.
