The Lumières didn't invented film. Neither Edison. They devised the machine. In fact, Méliès invented film. Georges Méliès knew to take advantage of a fortuitous mistake, transforming an artifact designed to catch moving images in a trap of dreams. So, like an alchemist of the XX Century, he combined magic and technology. Since then we know three things: 1- The chance doesn't exist, 2- Magic is real, and 3- Film is more than film.

Georges Méliès supo aprovechar un error casual, convirtiendo un artefacto diseñado para captar imágenes en movimiento en una trampa para sueños. De esta forma, como un alquimista del siglo XX, aunó magia y tecnología. Desde entonces sabemos tres cosas: 1- La casualidad no existe, 2- La magia es real, y 3- El cine es más que cine.
